June 9, 2008 HIH Princess Takamado Visit to the Residence on the occasion of Ikebana International Meeting

On the occasion of the Ikebana International Tokyo Founding Chapter’s Briefing and Tea Party for the coming Fair 2008 for Charity to be held in December 2008, H. I. H. Princess Takamado kindly paid a visit to the Ambassador’s Residence, as Dr. Salwa, the wife of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain was elected to the chairperson of the Fair 2008.

More than 30 wives of Ambassadors kindly participated in the Tea Party, together with the members of the Ikebana International. Ikebana means “flower arrangement” in Japanese. The organization aims to promote international friendship through Ikebana.
