May 3, 2007 Foreign Minister attended the meeting of the International Compact with Iraq.

Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa took part in the first meeting of the International Compact with Iraq being held in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el Sheikh. At the conference Shaikh Khalid asserted the continuity of aid to Iraq to help it recover, attain its national objectives and regain its position in regional and international arenas.

He also welcomed the compact’s international commitments aimed at attaining security and stability in Iraq.

He also met Japanese Prime Minister’s adviser on national security Yuriko Koike.
