April 3rd 2012: Arab Day Reception

The Arab Embassies in Tokyo hosted the Arab Day Reception 2012 at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo.?Heads of the Diplomatic Missions in Tokyo, diplomats, wives of Ambassadors, the Japanese government officials and members of the Diet were invited to the occasion. Among them were the Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Yoshihiko Noda, Chair man of the National Public Safety Commission, H.E. Mr. Jin Matsubara and the Former United Nations High Commission for Refugees H.E. Mme. Sadako Ogata. In addition, corporate executives, professors, artists, journalists, and others amounting to 400 guests attended the reception. Haramachi Middle School students from Minami Souma, in Fukushima prefecture played cheerful marching band. Also, H.E. Mme. Sadako Ogata received a prize for her work in the Middle East countries and contribution to her dedication at the reception. H.E. Dr. Khalil Hassan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan attended.
