June 15, 2010 Seminar and Panel Discussion on the Middle Eastern Mass Media Held

The Seminar and Panel Discussion titled “The Present Situation of Influential Media in the Middle East and their Impact- Al-Ahram newspaper and Al-Jazeera TV -” was held at the Sasakawa Peace Foundation.

The Seminar was organized by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, and the speakers were Mr. Mohamed A. Shokeir (Program Editor, Al- Jazeera TV), and Mr. Kamal Gaballah (Managing Editor of Al-Ahram Newspaper). From the Bahrain Embassy, Mr. Ahmed Al-Teraifi, Third Secretary joined the seminar to Discuss the present situation of influential Media in the Middle East and their impact.

Mr. Ahmed successfully met with the Japanese media and journalists, and discussed with them the issues involving the Middle East, the media communication, and cooperation between Japan and the Middle East.
